9-8-8 is a new national helpline for anyone across Canada who is thinking about suicide, or who is worried about someone they know. Call or text 9-8-8 toll-free, anytime for support in English or French. 9-8-8 responders are here to listen and provide help without judgement.

Responder training is informed by evidence, best practices and the voices of people most affected by suicide to ensure that anyone, anywhere, can access the support they need.

As a 9-8-8 partner, the John Howard Society of Fredericton is part of a network of local, provincial and territorial, and national crisis lines across the country whose responders take 9-8-8 calls and/or texts.
